Carleigh Tenzin is a passionate acupuncturist, healthcare consultant, and entrepreneur. Her calling is in service to others. She thrives by helping people bridge the gap between physical ailments and their mental, emotional, & spiritual origins.
She obtained her undergraduate education from Evergreen State College in Health Science. She earned her Masters Degree in Classical Five Element Acupuncture from the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture in Louisville, Colorado. In addition to her Masters Degree in Chinese Medicine, she trained at Delphi University in McCaysville, Georgia and became a RoHun Therapist and ordained minister in spiritual council.
Over the past six years of clinical experience she has had the great fortune to study and apprentice with well-known acupuncture teachers and scholars from all over the world.
Carleigh volunteers for the non-profit “Foundation for Wellness Professionals.” She offers free healthcare screenings and lectures to the public as well as to private institutions. She is an advocate for changing insurance law coverage for natural healthcare and was instrumental in changing the insurance policy for a company of over one thousand people. Her efforts implemented policy change for employees right to coverage when pursuing more natural health care options.
Carleigh spends 10 days per year in silence at the local Vipassana meditation center. This year will be her 7thsitting. It is her dream to sit a 20-day silent meditation course. She has a wonderful husband who is a rocket engineer and a beautiful two-year-old daughter named Iris.
